Privacy Policy

How Circuit handles personal data and privacy rights.

Last updated: February 16, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Circuit collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the app.

By using Circuit, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Process

  • Workout and profile data you enter in the app, such as goals, experience level, schedule preferences, equipment profile, completed workouts, and progression values.
  • App settings you choose, including interface and workout preferences.
  • Support information you provide when contacting support, such as your email address and message details.

3. Data Storage Model

Core workout and profile data are stored locally on your device using on-device app storage.

At this stage, Circuit does not require account creation and does not sync your workout data to a Circuit cloud account.

4. How We Use Information

  • To provide app functionality, including training plan generation, workout logging, history, and progression recommendations.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
  • To respond to support requests and protect the service, users, and legal rights.

5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Users)

Where required, we process data under one or more legal bases: performance of a contract (providing requested app features), legitimate interests (security, quality, and support), consent (where requested), and legal obligations.

6. Sharing and Selling

We do not sell personal information.

We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate support functions, to comply with law, or to enforce rights and safety requirements.

7. Data Retention

In-app workout and profile data remain on your device until you delete them in the app or uninstall the app.

Support communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

9. Your Rights and Choices

  • You can update many profile and settings fields directly in the app.
  • You can remove local app data by uninstalling the app or deleting relevant records where available in-app.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, and to appeal certain decisions. Contact us to submit a request.

10. US State Privacy Notices

Residents of certain US states may have additional rights, including rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and rights related to targeted advertising and profiling where applicable.

Because Circuit does not sell personal information, sale opt-out mechanisms may not apply; however, you may still contact us about any privacy right request.

11. Children's Privacy

Circuit is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Platform and Third Parties

If you download the app through Apple or another platform, that platform may process data under its own policies. Review platform privacy disclosures separately.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Last updated date and, where required, additional notice.
